Statron has been extremely successful in supplying uninterruptable power supply systems (UPS) to Qatar. One of the latest projects of Kahramaa is the power generation and sea water desalination plant “Facility – E” at Umm Al Houl Power (UAHP), an Integrated Water and Power Plant (IWPP). This project aims to increase the current electricity and water production of Qatar significantly. Once completed, the increase would be almost one fourth! The project includes the construction of a power plant with more than 2.5 GW and a desalination plant with 130 MIGD (million imperial gallons per day). Statron was chosen as partner for dc and ac UPS-systems as it is established in the region and a well-known supplier for high quality products and sustainable services.
