Statron will provide its flagship product BDTe and state of the art S2300 UPS systems for the project.
The Dubai Waste Management Company is developing a new Energy-from-waste (EfW) plant. Once completed in 2024, this plant will be one of the largest in its kind in the world and will be the largest EfW plant in the Middle East region. It will have the capacity to process 1.9 million tons of waste per year, which is equivalent to 45 percent of Dubai’s current municipal waste generation. The EfW facility supports the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. One part of that strategy is to minimize the volume of municipal waste in landfills and to develop alternative energy sources, sustainably and ecologically.
Hitachi Zosen Inova is part of a consortium, comprising Dubai Holding, Dubal Holding, ITOCHU Corporation, BESIX Group, and Tech Group, to develop the plant as well as built and operate it. Statron is part of that huge project. Statron will provide its flagship product BDTe and state of the art S2300 UPS systems for the project, designed to meet stringent requirements, to ensure highly reliable operations and low emission electricity. We are honored that Statron is being trusted and a proven partner with its traditional Swiss values that focus on technical excellence and quality in all areas of operation.
