STATRON Malaysia is privileged to announce that power generator Energy Australia chose STATRON over the BDTe range when it was time to change out their ageing fleet of thyristor-controlled chargers at Mount Piper Power Station, near Portland in the state of New South Wales, Australia in partnership with Lion Batteries Holdings Pty. Ltd.

Constructed in 1992/3, Mt. Piper’s twin steam turbines have a combined output of 1,400MW, which is sufficient capacity to supply the needs of approximately 1.18 million homes in New South Wales.

STATRON tailored their 50A-2000A BDTe Series thyristor-controlled models to meet the specifications of a range of 24V, 48V, 110V and 220V Battery Chargers from 100A to 1,200A with additional customization according to Energy Australia requirements.
