For the first time in Hungary, a utility company has used Nickel Cadmium batteries in a substation in order to replace the Lead Acid ones.
STATRON is proud of having successfully installed the new Saft Uptimax batteries close to the Austrian border. These batteries are the 1st Ni-Cd batteries for plug & play replacement of Lead Acid.

Constructed in 1992/3, Mt. Piper’s twin steam turbines have a combined output of 1,400MW, which is sufficient capacity to supply the needs of approximately 1.18 million homes in New South Wales.
STATRON tailored their 50A-2000A BDTe Series thyristor-controlled models to meet the specifications of a range of 24V, 48V, 110V and 220V Battery Chargers from 100A to 1,200A with additional customization according to Energy Australia requirements.
STATRON would like to once again extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation towards Energy Australia for harbouring their trust and confidence with both STATRON and Lion Batteries in this first replacement project.
